Hi everyone! Sorry I missed you “again” at the tournament. I hope
to make up for my absences this month. I’m sure you all had a great
time and bowled your best games ever. Thanks to all the Board
members who pitched in and covered the bases for us… Good job!
We look forward to seeing you at the March Tournament but, until
then keep looking up so you can enjoy this wonderful sunshine. My
“words of wisdom” (I keep reminding myself) - “In this life, pain is
inevitable, misery is a choice.”

PHYLLIS DODGE
It was nice to see those of you who weren’t home sick in bed and
able to bowl the Sweetheart Doubles with us. We hope the rest of you
have recovered from your viruses and are back among the living. This
year’s strain is really hitting people hard.
Don’t forget to turn in your high and low scores. These scores
must be bowled in a USBC Certified event (league or tournament).
Just send me a copy of your recap - 902 Evonda, Santa Ana, CA 92703.
Submit your scratch scores and we’ll take it from there. Awards are
presented at the November Open Meeting.
I have included the Membership Renewal Forms. Please take the
time to fill them out and send in with your $10 fee.
If you are interested in any of the upcoming State 500 Club
events, please pick up all the information at the Check-In Table or
give me a call (714) 554-6908 and I’ll mail it out to you. There is
the State 500 Club Princess Tournament, the State 500 Club Singles
Event in conjunction with the State Tournament and also the State
500/600 Doubles Tournament.
Hope to see you all at Westminster on the 8th. It sounds like it
will be fun!

A very huge THANK YOU to Romy Fallabeck and Gracie Hastings for
all their help on the Sweetheart Tournament. This was the first time
in 21 years I’ve had to call in sick to 500 Club and I truly
appreciate their assistance in pulling it all together. Thanks to
those of you who have let me know how you like the new format for
the newsletter. I hope to see you at Westminster and hope you will
enjoy the opportunity to “take a MULLIGAN.” Golfers do it all the
time, why not bowlers?!?
