I’M BACK!!! Hated to miss the Mother’s Day Doubles but I really
enjoyed a weekend away from all the stress of late. Thank you all
for your continued thoughts and prayers for Charly. This week he is
waging a strong fight with a bout of pneumonia.
Thank you to all the Board Members for the plants and flowers
which were donated. I hope everyone got to take one home.
Reminder to all Board Members that we will be having a Board
Meeting at 10:00am before the June Tournament. Please be there so we
can finalize plans for the Invitational Event.

I was sorry to have to miss the Mother’s Day Doubles - but hope
you all had a wonderful time and enjoyed your plants and flowers.
We have received an invitation from the Fresno 500 Club. Sunday,
June 8th at Rodeo Lanes in Fresno. Cost is $18. Call me at (714)
554-6908 if you want an entry.
Don’t forget to turn in your high and low scores. These scores
must be bowled in a USBC Certified event (league or tournament).
Just send me a copy of your recap - 902 Evonda, Santa Ana, CA 92703.
Submit your scratch scores and we’ll take it from there. Awards are
presented at the November Open Meeting. Scores will be posted each
month from here on out.

We will be inviting all 500 Clubs from Bakersfield
south to San Diego and hosting a buffet lunch after bowling.

California State 500 - 600 Doubles Tournament
June 25th - 26th - Bakersfield
There is an Orange Co. 600 Club bowler looking for a 500 Club
partner. If you are interested, please contact Rosie McKeithen and
she will put you in touch.

Great bowling at the Mother’s Day Event - everyone seemed to like
the new lanes at Tustin. We even had 3 No-Tap 300’s - Tony Brunning,
Tom Fraker and Melody Tegtmeyer. The next event will be a challenge
of your bowling skills: LowBall (The object is to have the lowest
score while keeping the ball on the lane. If you throw it in the
channel on the 1st ball it will count as a strike, on 2nd ball a
spare); Head Pin (If you don’t hit the head pin with your 1st ball
you get a zero for the frame); and Crazy 8’s (Any 8-count is a
strike). This is always a fun event and harder than we imagine.
Prize fund will pay out each game rather than for total pins.
Please pray for Joe & Jan Munoz, Melody Tegtmeyer and their
family in the accidental death of their 3-yr old grandson/nephew.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

IN LOVING MEMORY...
MARTHA CARRIER
It is with much sadness that I inform you we have lost another
long-time member, Martha Carrier. Martha was one of our favorites -
she was a kind spirit with a gentle heart and she always had a smile
- no matter how bad she might be bowling. She and her partner in
crime, Lou Simmons, bowled with us for many years and could always
be counted on for fun and laughter. Pray for Martha’s husband, Lou
Carrier, (pictured with Martha) and his family during these
difficult days. She will truly be missed.
