IN THE PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Well I’m back again and was glad to see all of you at the
tournament, hope you had as much fun as I did. This month we are
having our Invitational and we can’t stress enough the need for
FOOD! The letters have gone out to the other clubs and we have been
getting positive response. Our club has the reputation of putting on
a mega-wonderful buffet but, we can’t do it without all of your
help. Please share with us your favorite recipe dish. It may not
take a village but it does take all the Club members. So come and
have lunch and a great time ………see you there.

Hope everyone had fun at the Summer Fun Singles - that stupid
head pin!!! Don’t forget to turn in your high and low scores. These
scores must be bowled in a USBC Certified event (league or
tournament). Just send me a copy of your recap - 902 Evonda, Santa
Ana, CA 92703. Submit your scratch scores and we’ll take it from
there. Awards are presented at the November Open Meeting. Scores
will be posted each month from here on out. Don’t forget to come out
to our Invitational Tournament and bring something good for the
Hospitality Room. See you all at Yorba Linda on July 12th.

ELECTIONS COMING UP IN NOVEMBER
(and I don’t mean McCain vs. Obama)
Are you interested in running for a position on our Board of
Directors? This year we will elect President, 2nd Vice President,
Sergeant-at-Arms and (5) Directors. If you are interested and would
like more information, please talk with any Board Member. You will
need to submit a short resume of your bowling history, including any
leagues you have participated in or any league offices you may have
held, to Sandy Hingst, our Nominating Chairperson. You can email her
at slhhome@att.net or call her at (714) 639-2386. She will be glad
to help you with your resume.

FROM TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR

July 12th will be our Invitational Event at Yorba Linda Bowl. We
have invited all 500 Clubs from Bakersfield south to San Diego.
Entries are slow coming in and I would appreciate hearing from any
of you planning to bowl ASAP. I have reserved the entire bowling
center and if we don’t need that many lanes I want to let them know
SOON. Please email or call. I mailed the entries last month hoping
you would mail them in but that doesn’t seem to have worked (ok - 3
of you did and I appreciate it!). This will be three (3) games of
USBC certified bowling, bowled in two divisions for 500 Club and one
division for Boosters and other guests. Please bring something good
for the Hospitality Room and join us (IN UNIFORM PLEASE!) for
an afternoon of fun and friends. Take care and God
