We are cancelling our April tournament. Too many of us will be
out of town or have other activities that require our presence and
time. My activity is my daughter, Ann getting married that day. I
hope all of you going to Vegas for sweepers bowl well. And those
with other activities and friends enjoy to your fullest. We’ll look
forward to seeing you all in May at our Invitational.

PHYLLIS DODGE...
Please join me in a warm welcome to our newest 500 Club Member,
Cathy Schuster and our newest Booster, Larry Schoner. Sorry we
forgot to get Larry’s picture. We were so excited that he finally
joined we simply overlooked getting his picture! He’s one we have
been working on for a long time—BJ finally talked him into it! We
hope to see all of you out for our Invitational. This is a good
chance for us to make a good impression and hopefully get lots of
teams to come back for our Inter-Association Team Trio Tournament in
October. We have received an invitation to San Fernando Valley 500
Club’s Fun Tournament—Sunday, May 3rd, 10:00am at Rocket Bowl in
Chatsworth. Format is Crazy 8’s, 3-6-9, and Regular No-Tap. Our
Boosters are also invited to this event. Entry fee is $20 but DOES
NOT include side-pots. They will have a hospitality room and lunch
after bowling. If you would like an entry form or information,
please call me 714.554.6908. Hope to see you all at Yorba Linda on
May 16th. If you have not yet renewed your membership, this will be

VOLUNTEER SCOREKEEPERS WANTED The California USBC
Women's Championships will be coming to Orange County. Team
Event will be held at Yorba Linda Bowl while Doubles/Singles will be
held at Forest Lanes. The events will run every weekend from
May 30 thru August 2 except on June 13 & 14 and July 4 & 5.
Below are the dates and squads to the Team Event. Please

if would like to volunteer as a scorekeeper and the date/s and

My apologies for not getting this letter out to you BEFORE the
tournament date we had to cancel. I was waiting for everyone to get
me their information and by the time they got it to me I was totally
buried at work and simply did not have the time to get it all put
together, copied, folded, stuffed and mailed. That’s one of the
reasons we are encouraging you to sign up for email notification.
Since I only received two phone calls you all must have checked out
the website. Thanks Ann for getting the information on there and to
everyone else for getting the word out.
Anyway, since we were forced to cancel the April 18th tournament,
we will reschedule the Princess and King of the Hill tournament for
our July event. You’ll still have a chance to “claim the crown!”
Your entries for the Rock ‘N Bowl Invitational are included in
this mailing. Please invite all your friends and come join the fun.
It’s our time to shine and show the other clubs just how friendly
Orange County bowlers are. See you all there!
It was so nice to see our dear friend LOU SIMMONS who came to
visit us at Westminster! We miss you Lou! And Edna—we hope you’re
mending nicely...
