Hello All,
I was so happy to be able to bowl last month's tournament after
missing the last two because of working the Women's State
Tournament. I had a great time, just wish we'd had a better
turn out. Maybe it's because it's summer time that
participation is down, I don't know. I'm hoping the Singles
Championship has a better showing. Rosie and I will not be at
that tournament as we will be attending a conference, but it will be
in good hands. Sue Fraker will be collecting the entries and
the rest of the Board will be working hard for you.
Don't forget the Trio Tournament coming up in October. Get
your teams together now. Teams are (3) 500 Club Members.
Tournament will be Saturday, October 10th at Yorba Linda Bowl.

FROM YOUR SECRETARY...
Hello to you all! Sorry I missed the last tournament but
I'm at a point in life where my family is very important to me and I
had the opportunity to spend an afternoon in San Diego with my son
and his family from Oregon. We had a a lovely visit and lunch
at the beach. I hope you all had a good time at the Rainbow
Tournament. There weren't very many of you there. Let's
try to set aside that Saturday and have a good turnout for our
Singles Championship. It's just as much work for a small
tournament as a big one and not nearly as much fun. Our annual
elections are coming up in November. If you would be
interested in running for Director or any of the Line Officers up
for vote (1st and 3rd VP and Secretary/Treasurer), please talk to
any Board Member. Nominations are to be submitted by October
1st. We are always looking for new people and ideas. Get
your teams of 3 500 Club bowlers together for the Trio in October.

TEAM TRIO TOURNAMENT COMING IN OCTOBER THIS YEAR OUR CLUB IS THE
HOST CLUB
It’s not too soon to start thinking about getting your teams
together. You will need a team of any three (3) 500 Club Members.
It’s lots of fun and we are hoping for a full house. Saturday,
October 10th at Yorba Linda Bowl

Deadline for scores to have been bowled was July 31, 2009.
Deadline for turning in your scores to Phyllis should have been
September 1st, but because we were negligent in publicizing that
fact, we are extending the deadline to October 1, 2009. your
score must have been bowled in a USBC certified league or tournament
between August 1, 2008 and July 31, 2009 and you must have been a
club member/booster in good standing on the date score was bowled.
Handicap is based on your book average and is calculated by the
Awards Committee. you simply submit your scratch sores.
