From the Prez…
I hope everyone had a great time at the Championship tournament
last month. I'm sorry that I wasn't there - NOT! I had a great time
at the Women of Faith Conference with Rosie.
I am looking forward to the Trios Tournament coming up in
October. Several of us went out to Oak Glen this past Saturday
looking for goodies that will fit in with the Apple/fall theme. Had
a good outing. Get your teams together for the tournament. See ya
all there.

FROM YOUR SECRETARY...
I am so glad to get back into bowling. I was really tired but
bowled all 3 games at the Singles Championship. It was good to see
everyone.
A reminder to anyone interested in running for Director or any of
the Line Offices up for Election (1st Vice President, 3rd Vice
President and Secretary/Treasurer) that resumes are to be submitted
to Nominating Chairperson, Carol Watson. Mail them to her at 1282
Garland Ave., Tustin, CA 92780-3820. Any nominees from the floor
must also have a written resume ready to submit.
If you have never bowled in the Trio Tournament before—get a team
together and come join the fun. It’s always a good time and a chance
to make new friends. There is a short meeting and continental
breakfast at 10 followed by bowling at 1 and the luncheon following
bowling. We have always made this a potluck but this year we are
purchasing all the food and invite you to just come out and enjoy
the day.

INTER-ASSOCIATION TEAM TRIO
The Inter-Association Team Trio is a 500 Club Tournament hosted
by one of the local 500 Clubs. We invite all 500 Clubs from
Bakersfield south to San Diego. This year our Club is the host club.
Teams are made up of three (3) 500 Club members. We hope that you
will get a team together and come join the fun. If you want to bowl
but don’t have a team, please contact me ASAP and I’ll see if I
can’t put some teams together. PLEASE MAIL IN YOUR ENTRIES for this
tournament. Because of the large number of bowlers and lane
availability we WILL NOT be accepting walk-in entries this month and
I would prefer to have all the entry fees paid in advance to
eliminate slow down at check in. Please note that total entry
INCLUDING side-pot is $23 this month instead of $20. Some of you who
paid at the September event missed that change and will owe an
additional $3 at the tournament. UNIFORMS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS
TOURNAMENT! If you have turned in a shirt for embroidery they will
be available the day of the tournament. Looking forward to seeing
you all there…
